Cape buffalos prefer to inhabit grassy plains and open woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. These creatures are 4-6 feet in height; 8-11 feet in length. Males weigh 1000 lb and males are 1,500 in weight. In the wild they live about 16 years. An exotic breeder may have lots of babies; conservation is a noble effort to preserve.
