These animals are rather hardy; they have a high tolerance to cold temperatures. These animals live longer than domestic cattle and cows can remain productive until 20 years of age. Cows are able to breed at three years of age.

These are herd animals. In the wild bulls form separate herds or bachelor groups. Bulls’ herds join with the cows’ herds only during the breeding season.
